Just watch this clip of a fan playing Paul’s bassline for the song “Hey Bulldog”. Paul snapped on this one, the fan hits it note to note. Someone wrote this: “Today’s bass players would have just plucked the root note repetitively to the beat until the piano chord changed and then they’d pluck the next root note.
