Just watch this clip of a fan playing Paul’s bassline for the song “Hey Bulldog”. Paul snapped on this one, the fan hits it note to note. Someone wrote this: “Today’s bass players would have just plucked the root note repetitively to the beat until the piano chord changed and then they’d pluck the next root note. It’s as if they’ve learned nothing from the masters.”
